There¡¯s
unfortunate news for the
nation¡¯s soccer fans. Korea¡¯s Cho Won-hee who signed a contract with Wigan Athletic of the English
Premier League will have to wait until next season to make his debut.
The midfielder is currently down with two torncalf muscles. The injuryoccurred during the World
Cup qualifier victory over North Korea. Doctors say he will have to
rest for the rest of the
season. The initialdamage to his leg took place
when Cho was kicked during the Iraqi encounter.
The Korean team¡¯s manager Huh Jung-moo should have let the 26-year-old
rest. However, Cho was still elected to start in
the match against North Korea. Ultimately, this poor decision
made by Huh resulted in criticallyworsening Cho¡¯s condition.
Both Wigan and Korean fans will have to wait until next season to
see Cho in action. Wigan staff announced that they will
put Cho through physiotherapy and conditioning
to bring him back on the field as quickly as possible.
